About Fresno City College

Fresno City College (FCC or "Fresno City") is a community college in Fresno, California. Fresno City College is a part of the State Center Community College District (SCCCD), within the California Community Colleges system, and fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Assessment Testing
The FCC placement tests are used to determine your English and Math skills. They are also used to determine which of these courses you should be placed in so that they meet your academic needs.

Career Center
Do you need help planning for your future? Since 1973, the Career Center has been assisting students at Fresno City College with career planning and educational decisions.

Child Development Center

College Relations
The College Relations Office offers matriculation information and college outreach to thousands of students and adults in the San Joaquin Valley and statewide.  In addition, the office serves as a liaison to Fresno City College and shares institutional ethics and integrity to global citizenship.

Counseling
The Counseling Department is here to serve all current and prospective students of Fresno City College. Our counselors can help you develop a plan to reach your goals whether you want to transfer from Fresno City College to a university, earn an Associate degree or career certificate, or take courses for your own personal development.

Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSP&S)
DSP&S offers services beyond those provided to the mainstream Fresno City College programs and "enables" students with disabilities to successfully pursue their educational, vocational and personal goals.

Extended Opportunities Program & Services(EOP&S)
EOPS is a state-supported project that provides a comprehensive program of services for low-income and academically disadvantaged students. The project includes academic counseling, personal advisement, special instruction, summer readiness, career guidance, tutorial assistance, academic mentoring, financial aid, college transfer counseling, book grants, emergency loans, vocational internship, CARE (a program for single head of household parents and priority registration.)

Health Services

Psychological Services
Psychological Services is a program at Fresno City College (FCC) and Reedley College designed to help meet the mental health needs of the college community. Working with Counseling and Health Services, Psychological Services offers assistance in a number of areas, including: personal growth, crisis resolution, daily living problems, relationship and family issues, and as a support network for students with more serious emotional disorders.

Scholarship Opportunities
Over the past 20 years, the FCC Scholarship Program has helped thousands of students attending Fresno City College achieve their educational goals. To be successful, this program depends on our donors who demonstrate their support for our college and their commitment to higher education with their generous contributions.

Transfer Center
Welcome to the Transfer Center at Fresno City College, a resource center which provides a variety of programs and services designed to make transfer from the community college to a baccalaureate granting institution as successful as possible. The Transfer Center has developed a strong working relationship with the University of California, the California State Universities as well as private colleges and universities throughout the state.

Tutorial Services
The Tutorial Center offers currently enrolled students a variety of FREE tutoring options. No appointments necessary, just drop in anytime during office hours and set yourself up for success.

The campus is near the Tower District in Fresno. Additional campuses in the district include Clovis Community College, the Oakhurst Center (serving the foothill communities), and the Madera Center (across the San Joaquin River, in the town of Madera). The school's sister college is Reedley College, located in Reedley, California.
