About this course
The Master of Science degree program with a major in Music Business Administration is designed to prepare students for careers in the commercial music industry. The 36-credit degree program is a collaborative effort between the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters Department of Music and the College of Business.
Students are admitted to and enrolled in the College of Business while the academic direction of the music components are supervised by the Department of Music. For admission to the program, students should submit a graduate application (and all materials required for the application process) along with a GRE or GMAT score.
The M.S. in Music Business Administration includes two years of full-time study and an on-going internship. The ongoing internship consists of working in various capacities on the Department of Music’s commercial record label, Hoot/Wisdom Recordings. This degree program concludes with a thesis or project.
