Eastern Oklahoma State College offers associate degree and certification programs at four locations in southeast Oklahoma to meet the needs of a diverse community of students. Whether you’re a high school student wanting to get started early, a recent high school graduate, or a first-time or returning adult student, you’ll find your place at Eastern.
The Eastern campus is located in Wilburton, Oklahoma, in the heart of a beautiful valley between the SanBois and Winding Stair Mountain Ranges. Forest-covered mountains, mountain streams and nearby Robbers Cave State Park provides a great outdoors playground for swimming, fishing, hunting, picnicking and driving year round. The community is located 2 hours from Tulsa, Oklahoma and 3 hours from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two major metropolitan areas. Both cities have an international airport. Oklahoma is in the south central part of the United States, where the winters are usually mild and the summers are hot and dry. During January and February, the temperatures are frequently 0 degrees C or lower. During July and August, the temperatures are often 38 degrees C.
Your home away from home is more than just a place to eat and sleep. At Eastern, there's a strong feeling of community. And living on campus gives you the greatest opportunities to meet new people, join in activities and get easy access to classes, study labs and the library.
Students who live on campus continually interact with a diverse group of individuals, enhancing their educational experience. Studies show that students who live on campus attain a higher grade point average than those who do not.
