About this course

Columbia College Chicago’s Journalism, MA program focuses on public affairs reporting and combines an essential academic base in political science, and first-hand reporting. The curriculum focuses on issues central to civic life—education, housing, welfare, criminal justice, labor, politics and the electoral process, science, economics, and the arts. This program can be completed in three consecutive semesters of full-time study.

    • Your Portfolio should consist of a representative sampling of published work or other examples of non-fiction writing. Articles and other journalistic samples are best. Please DO NOT submit poetry, plays, screenplays, or other work of this kind
