About this course

Few programs prepare students better for jobs in an array of industries than our Master of Science in Mathematics. Our graduates teach, work in industry and in government. And, many enter doctoral programs.

Classes are small, providing personal attention for students and multiple opportunities to work closely on projects with individual faculty members. These professors are actively involved in a wide variety of research areas including algebra, analysis, combinatorics, dynamical systems, geometry, Lie theory logic, mathematical biology, mathematical physics, number theory, numerical analysis, probability, representation theory, scientific computing, statistics and topology.

  • Three semesters of calculus, and one each of linear algebra, differential equations, abstract algebra and real analysis
