About College for Creative Studies
The Ford Campus houses the Art Education, Crafts, Entertainment Arts, Fine Arts, Foundation, Liberal Arts and Illustration undergraduate departments.
The A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education in West Baltimore is home to the Advertising: Copywriting, Advertising: Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Product Design and Transportation Design undergraduate programs as well Graduate Programs in Color & Materials Design, Interaction Design, Integrated Design and Transportation Design. In addition, the Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3) and Shinola reside in the facility
Detroit is building its reputation as a global center for innovation, and CCS is right in the middle of it. Located in the heart of Detroit's Innovation District, CCS students have the ability to engage in the creative community that encompasses campus. It seems that every day CCS learns about our alumni involved in starting new galleries, art programs, collectives, businesses and initiatives.
Living at the Taubman Center you are just an elevator ride away from classes, work areas, fitness rooms, laundry facilities, a dining hall, café and bookstore. The Taubman Center is also completely secure with a 24-hour staffed front desk, swipe-card security and access free shuttle services between the Ford and Taubman Center campuses.
The Taubman Center is located in the New Center district of Detroit, close to the beautiful Virginia Park Historic District, restaurants, shops, theater and other attractions.
Campus housing is also available on the Ford Campus in our Art Centre Building. These are partially furnished apartment-style units housing 3-6 students per unit and include a full kitchen. The Ford Campus is adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Detroit Historical Museum, The Detroit Public Library and many other institutions, Cafés and restaurants in the Mid-Town area. There is a free CCS shuttle that runs regularly between the Taubman and Ford Campus locations.
