Entry Requirements

If your first language is English, you are required to submit SAT or ACT scores. If your first language is not English, you must provide English language proficiency documentation through the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language System (IELTS) Exam, or the ELS Centers Level 112 Certificate of Completion of English for Academic Purposes, or through another approved test. Here are approved English proficiency tests and minimum scores that must have been taken within the last three years.

  • English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 527 on the paper-based test (PBT) or a minimum score of 71 on the internet-based test (iBT);  
  • International English Language System (IELTS) exam with a minimum score of 6.0 with no subscore lower than 5.0;
  • Certificate of Completion of level 112 of the ELS Language Centers Academic English Program;
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a score of 51;
  • Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) at a level of C1 or higher;
  • Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) at a level of C1 or higher;
  • Cambridge International O Levels with a level of C or higher;
  • MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a miinimum oscore of 74; or
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 645.
