About this course

The coursework for this MBA concentration centers around management of knowledge systems. Classes include IT for Project Management, Management of E-Learning, and Management of Information Security. Students will gain an understanding of how software can assist in managing projects and how to position workplace learning as a driver of business results. The program is aimed at sharpening students’ understanding of best practices for higher-level supervision along with the necessary specialized skills for navigating through complex technological systems.

Upon completion of coursework, the candidate must complete a Master’s Thesis. This final project should demonstrate the candidate’s broader understanding of all coursework and ability to narrow the focus of the project to prove their expertise in the field.

Employers looking to fill software developer positions are looking more for people with the correct skills as well as the applicable credential that comes with an MBA. Entry Requirements

  • Official Transcript showing the completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation – CHEA.
  • An applicant who has completed his Bachelor’s degree in a non-business related area (i.e., Engineering or Science) is required to meet CALUNIVERSITY’s business foundational prerequisites by taking a required course in Basic Accounting. Other elective courses are available for the student’s consideration.
  • The applicant’s prior college academic records must show a minimal Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of C (2.0 on a scale of 4.0) or higher.

English Language Requirement:

  • A minimum score of 530 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 71 on the Internet Based Test (iBT), or a 6.5 on the International English Language Test (IELTS) prior to enrollment.
