About this course

The general MBA coursework focuses on business strategy, managerial practices, and organizational leadership, while the Finance classes cover a range of business scenarios including Bank Management, Commercial Banking, and Entrepreneurial Finance. Students will further explore the influence that financial institutions have on global markets, capital market theory, global monetary policies, foreign exchange rates, corporate bonds, and futures contracts. Students will explore concepts of risk management and financial planning in the banking industry as well as strategies that maximize profitability and stockholder’s value. With the most up-to-date information and practices, candidates will gain a firm understanding of trends, changes, and financial risks in the banking industry.

Entry Requirements

  • Official Transcript showing the completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation – CHEA.
  • An applicant who has completed his Bachelor’s degree in a non-business related area (i.e., Engineering or Science) is required to meet CALUNIVERSITY’s business foundational prerequisites by taking a required course in Basic Accounting. Other elective courses are available for the student’s consideration.
  • The applicant’s prior college academic records must show a minimal Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of C (2.0 on a scale of 4.0) or higher.

English Language Requirement:

  • A minimum score of 530 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 71 on the Internet Based Test (iBT), or a 6.5 on the International English Language Test (IELTS) prior to enrollment.
