Earning your Associate of Arts in General Studies is the first step toward gaining the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your professional goals and increase your marketability. The general studies online degree also prepares learners for entry into bachelor’s degree programs.
The Associate of Arts degree in General Studies requires completion of 60 semester units of coursework which includes 51 units of General Education or Elective courses and 9 units of General Studies courses.
*This is a 100% online degree program.
- Evidence of previous academic work: sealed official transcripts will be required to document the applicant’s prior education (official transcripts are to be sent by the issuing institution/college/university directly to the Office of the Registrar in no more than 6 weeks from the applicants start date). Students using financial aid must submit official transcripts before being awarded aid.
English Language Proficiency:
- A minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 61 on the Internet Based Test (iBT), or a 6.0 on the International English Language Test (IELTS).
