About this course
Under the supervision of the Liberal Arts Program advisor, students majoring in Liberal Arts are encouraged to explore their world through a more open medley of courses, to advance what they learn in those courses through a wide sequence of opportunities, and to develop meaningful relationships across the boundaries of numerous disciplines.
We expect students enrolled in courses we teach to develop a personal rigor that encourages them to excel in their studies. We also want students to learn to express their ideas through clear, persuasive writing—to be “able to make a defense for the hope that is within” them. Because we believe that a critical element in “making a difference in our world” is developing the ability to say what we mean and to mean what we say, we place a strong emphasis on developing critical thinking skills which will make that possible.
The combination of skill, determination, and guidance will work together to create a most rewarding educational experience.
