About this course
The Radiologic Technology Program prepares qualified individuals for a career as an entry-level radiographer (R.T. (R)). The technologist or radiographer is responsible for administering low levels of ionizing radiation to the patients. In addition, the technologist or radiographer must be detail-oriented, precise and analytical, understand spatial relationships and apply safety measures at all times.
This program will offer extensive knowledge of patient care/safety, anatomy and physiology, image production, equipment operation, radiation protection and radiographic procedures. These categories and course objectives are mandated by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) curriculum. The curriculum is designed to matriculate graduates into institutions of higher learning to continue studies beyond an A.A.S
