About this course

The Accounting Program at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) prepares graduates for employment as junior accountants, accounting clerks or management trainees. Additionally, to prepare students for advanced academic studies as well as for careers in public accounting, private industry, government and non- profit sectors. The accounting certificate is designed for individuals seeking entry-level employment in bookkeeping or accounting. The program will promote personal and professional development of each student by offering and encouraging participation in various opportunities.

Additionally, through utilization of interactive teaching techniques and instructional methods to accommodate diversified learning styles, we will develop critical thinking, analytical, communication and technological skills that will enable out graduates to make immediate, value added contributions to their employers and communities.

The accounting degree program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
