About this course

This AAS degree program includes a range of health information courses, including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical office procedures, electronic health records, ICD-CM and CPT coding, and insurance billing.

Your responsibilities as a medical coder and biller may include analyzing medical records and assigning codes to classify diagnoses and procedures while applying the principles of professional and ethical conduct. Doctors will also rely on you to accurately interpret documentation, code diagnoses and procedures, prepare insurance forms, and handle billing.
