About this course
The Higher National Diploma in Biomedical Science course has been designed to prepare you for employment in the science sector. Predominately taking units appropriate for a career in Biological Sciences from the Pearson HND/HNC Diploma in Applied Biology (which will be the title of the final award given to students on this programme). This course is suitable for those who have already decided that they wish to enter this area of work or who wish to progress further to higher education upon completion of the course. Upon successful completion of this course students will be awarded the Pearson BTEC HND/HNC Diploma in Applied Biology (QCF). To be awarded the BTEC Level 4 HNC, you must achieve a minimum of 120 credits and for Level 5 HND a minimum 240 credits. The HND in Biomedical Science course provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the applied biology sector and also offers Progression from this course may be into or within employment in biological sciences and related industries.
