Curriculum

Programme Content

This postgraduate programme investigates and engages with the ‘idea’ of making through three integrated and overlapping domains of study:
practical, theoretical and professional. The four core disciplines within these interdisciplinary settings are weaving, felt, stitch and print. You will study specific materials, techniques and mapping processes. Global historical, contemporary and cultural settings inform the context of your own
creative practice. Practical workshops will also develop your capacities to observe, visualise, identify and problem-solve as well as making critical and reflective judgements. You will gain broader issues of value, generating deep investigation and resolution. You will develop a capacity for independent learning, demonstrating an individual perspective and significance in your studio work which is supported by a lecture and seminar series.
