About this course

Whether you are a new graduate or currently working and want to develop a career in HR, you will find this two year programme will give you the perfect opportunity to enhance your career prospects through a professional qualification with the CIPD.

 

The first stage covers – Leadership/Management and People Management/Development field – focuses on the essential skills of the HR professional.

 

The second stage – the electives in Human Resource Management – examines employment law, employee relations, employee resourcing and reward, learning and development and includes a distinctive residential. You will cover three of the CIPD fields of study: Core Management, People Management and Development, and elective fields. The course offers a fast-track membership upgrade scheme allowing you to bypass the Graduate stage of CIPD membership to becoming a Chartered member.

Entry Requirements

You should normally have a degree or equivalent, or NVQ or SVQ Level 4 in a related subject plus two years’ relevant organisational experience. We also accept a CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice, or Training Practice, or Recruitment and Selection, plus two years’ relevant experience. Mature students without formal qualifications, but with significant management/HR experience, are welcome to apply.
