About this course
This is an internationally recognised management award designed to satisfy the aspirations of practising middle managers seeking career advancement. Building on your existing expertise, the Diploma will enhance your management effectiveness and encourage you to develop a portfolio of personal development skills. The course introduces you to the latest management theories and best practice models including strategic management, leadership and team-working and change management. The experience and expertise of guest speakers from industry and business will inform your lectures. Case studies, group work and role play will mirror everyday professional situations, and encourage you to meet real-life working challenges.
Successful applicants will normally be over 23 years old at the start of the programme and occupy, or have occupied, positions of management responsibility for a minimum of two years. You will also need to hold a degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification that is considered equivalent to an appropriate degree. If English is not your first language, you will need to have a TOEFL score of 550 or above, or an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to the above. Mature students with significant management experience who can demonstrate previous non-certified learning equivalent to the above are also welcome to apply in such cases, admission to the programme will be based on an evaluation of your ability to contribute to, benefit from, and achieve the award.
