Entry Requirements

  • Students must have a minimum of 280 UCAS tariff points, including 100 points in Maths and 100 points in a physical science. Equivalent qualifications (e.g. HND or BTEC in Engineering) are also accepted. In addition to the minimum of two A Levels, other qualifications such as AS Levels, the Extended Project and the ASDAN CoPE for example, will be counted towards the 280 point requirement.
  • The Advanced Diploma in Engineering is accepted. Students must have a minimum B grade in A Level Maths as the ASL subject. Students will need to have five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language and Mathematics. Although not part of the entry requirements we would recommend that students study mechanical maths as part of their course.
  • We also accept a wide range of other qualifications including the BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma and Subsidiary Diploma, the European and International Baccalaureate Diplomas, and Advanced Diplomas.
  • The University of Lincoln offers international students (non EU/UK) who do not meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree course the option of completing a degree preparation programme at the university’s International Study Centre.
