About this course
Postgraduate programmes in journalism at Kent offer you the opportunity to research and learn in an environment that combines excellence in the practice of convergent, multimedia journalism with intellectual leadership in the history, ethics and future of the news industry.
Research programmes are best suited to students who have a clear and original idea of a topic that they would like to investigate in detail. There are two types of programme: the MA by Research entails producing a 40,000 word thesis; the MPhil and PhD programmes demand a high level of research and analysis resulting in dissertations of c50,000 words (MPhil) or 80,000 words (PhD).

These cases are considered individually.
