About this course
This PG Diploma course will give you the chance to develop practical skills, supported by a strong theoretical base, which will enable you to provide an effective career-coaching service.
You do not need to have completed your first degree in psychology or a related subject in order to take this course.
The quality of your teaching will be second to none. All your tutors combine teaching with working in the field and have published research over a wide range of related areas.
The course is run within the internationally recognised, superbly resourced and hugely supportive UEL School of Psychology.
On completing your PG Diploma you will be well placed to work in careers guidance for employers such as universities, schools and local authorities, as well as in private practice.
Our new module, Career Coaching: The HE Context, will be delivered by career consultants from The Careers Group, University of London, which is the largest employer of higher education practitioners in the UK.
You will have the opportunity to undertake a work-shadowing placement at one of the major colleges of the University of London.
This ground-breaking module is offered additionally as a short course, so can be taken as single CPD module for practitioners who are already qualified in the field but are looking to build up their expertise in the higher education sector.
- Degree: Minimum 2.2 Honours in any discipline.
Note: We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
English Language Requirements:
- Overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
