About this course
The Graduate School oversees and provides accredited and non-accredited research training for graduate students within the University and the external research community. The programme runs from September to June each year and can be taken in varying modes. It is open to full-time and part-time study, on-site and distance learning registration. We welcome applications for the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Research Methods from external would-be students who wish to study for a recognised qualification in postgraduate research methods. We do not accept external applications directly to the MRes but upgrade may be discussed if appropriate on completion of the Postgraduate Diploma.
Candidates should have gained at least a 2:1 degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area, or have a Masters degree in a relevant subject area. We also welcome applications from candidates who have worked for some years and have significant life and work experience that may provide a foundation for study on our programme.
