St Helens College is one of the largest further education colleges in the North West of England. There has never been a more exciting time to come and study at St Helens College. We have recently completed the first full academic year in the new £57 million Town Centre Campus. The new state-of-the art building provides students with the best possible learning environment to succeed. The facilities and resources will provide you with everything you need to develop your skills and knowledge for the future.

St Helens College currently have over 7,500 students of all ages, studying on courses from Entry Level through to Degree Programmes and Professional Qualifications. We attract students from across the North West and work with over 3,500 employers, helping the economy to thrive and develop.

Whether you are seeking employment, a promotion at work, a change of career, progression to university or you just want a new challenge, we have a wide range of courses available to study to suit your needs. We offer full and part time vocational courses from Animal Care and Construction to Catering and Sport along with a vast number of Apprenticeships and Adult Apprenticeships. We provide progression routes into higher education and offer over 50 Higher and Professional programmes and work in partnership with 6 major universities. We also offer courses for industry and courses for leisure.

Accommodation

St Helens College provides fully furnished shared accommodation located within a five minute walk from the Town Centre Campus. Our friendly and secure accommodation is an excellent stepping stone towards independent living.

The College has a selection of 3 bedroom houses, each including 3 study bedrooms and shared use of fitted bathroom and kitchen, to provide the perfect home from home whilst you study. Provisional bookings can be made through Student Services. Accommodation space is limited, so we are unable to guarantee a place for every applicant.

The Higher Education Support Officer can also provide students with information relating to a range of property and accommodation issues, including support with locating accommodation, signing contracts, paying bills and dealing with landlords/ladies.

Once you accept a place at the College and require accommodation, please notify the Higher Education Officer on 01744 623238 as soon as possible.

Campus

St Helens College has 2 campuses: the first campus is located in the Town Center, and the second campus is located in the Technology Center. Both campuses are very friendly and well equipped. There are a great number of facilities offered by the college, it includes the flower studio, fitness facilities, hair and beauty salon, colours restaurant, and excellent library and learning resources. In order to help students with projects and assignments, there are over 50'000 books and other resources available for students. Also, college provides a range of online resources including ebooks, emagazines and specialist databases.    

St Helens has 2 campuses.

The first campus is located in the Town Center Campus, in Water Street.

The second campus is located in the Technology Center, in Pocket Nook Street.

Both campuses provide public transportation.
