About this course
The foundation degree is aimed at existing early years practitioners, working in a wide variety of settings. It has been designed to meet the requirements of Every Child Matters: Change for Children, and early years professionals who work with children from birth to eight.
- Significant experience of working with children in an early years setting as a volunteer or through paid employment.
- You will need to undertake 18 hours per week in a relevant placement if not currently employed in an early years setting.
- You must have the equivalent of a level 3 CACHE, BTEC or NVQ in a related subject and at least two GCSEs, including grade C in English language and maths or equivalent level 2 qualification.
- You will complete English and maths assessments as part of the interview process.
