Diploma in Hairdressing - Level 2 (16-18)

Entry Requirements

• A Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy
• NVQ 1 Certificate in HairdressingRelevant experience
• Be enthusiastic, committed and willing to learn
• Have a calm, caring personality and well-groomed appearance

Notes:

1. You will be expected to purchase kit, uniform and books, costing approximately £220 (subject to change).
2. Once you have applied for the course, you will be invited in for an interview.

Curriculum

You will study all aspects of hairstyling, including :

• Cutting
• Colouring
• Blow-drying
• Setting hair of various types and lengths
• Client consultation
• Reception work
• Hair and scalp treatments
• Health and safety

The course is assessed through a blend of the following:

• Portfolio of practical assessments for each unit
• Assignments and tasks
• Multiple-choice tests covering the underpinning knowledge
• Your behaviour will also count towards your assessment, in terms of maturity, development, interaction and communication.
