About this course

The qualification will ensure that learners build on the culinary skills learned in the Level 1 VRQ diploma.

Students will develop their practical skills while preparing a range of commodities. Theoretical units provide a broad understanding of catering and hospitality, essential for those aspiring to work in the industry.

The course timetable includes practical sessions enabling you to develop your customer service skills and achieve a food service qualification in the Vanilla Pod, our training restaurant on the Tycoch campus.

Work placement is also included as part of the course along with developing your literacy and numeracy.
