About this course
This course is for students who have a strong interest in learning more about how the media works and want to gain experience of creating their own films, web pages and/or printed materials. This course mixes practical, creative and theoretical approaches to learning about the media. No prior experience of Media Studies is necessary but computer skills and a creative, enquiring attitude will help. Studying on this course will allow students to draw on various theoretical approaches when analysing a range of media forms (i.e. websites, film, TV, newspapers, magazines, games, advertisements etc), create their own media products, learn about developments in the media production industries and consider the ways in which media can affect our lives.
