About this course
Knowlege and understanding is assessed through both coursework and examination. Many of the units include practical coursework which will be assessed by activities that test the student's ability to meet the requirements of their industry and evaluate findings. Some technical units also include online multiple choice tests. They provide rapid feedback to allow learners and tutors to measure understanding and progress.
GCSE maths and English at grade C or above, or Key Skills at Level 2 plus one of the following:
- 40 UCAS points in one A level or 2 AS levels
- Successful completion of a recognised Access course
- Any other qualifiction considered to be of equivalent standard
- Level 3 vocational qualification (industry apprenticeship) in an appropriate subject
Mature applicants with relevant experience but no formal qualification and apprentices are welcome
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
