About this course

The diverse world of animals is continuously growing and changing and includes fascinating creatures from companion animals such as dogs and cats to the more exotic such Meerkats and Ring Tailed Lemurs and a mesmerising variety of insects. Due to this diversity, animal care and welfare is of growing importance and is becoming part of our culture, which provides people with the opportunity to work in this specialist sector.

Entry Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs at grade D or E (preferably including English and Maths) or Level 1 qualification in a related subject.

Note: Life experience will also be taken into account when considering applications from mature students.

  • A genuine interest in the subject is essential. 
  • In addition two satisfactory references are required.
