About this course

Alongside the devlopment of your personal practice as a fine artist you will also be involved in contextual studies which focuses on late 20th century art history and current debates within contemporary art theory and practice. During the course there will be numerous opportunites to exhibit at external venues culminating each year in the graduation exhibition. Supported by the business and professional practice units this involves researching spaces, fundraising, marketing and curating the final show.

Note: This course is offered in Sutton Coldfield Campus and Art & Design Centre, Brierley Hill.

Entry Requirements

  • You will need 2 A Levels or four AS Levels to apply for this course with a total of 120 UCAS points.
  • You may have a Level 3 Diploma in an art related subject or a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
  • You should have a portfolio of practical work for interview.
  • Mature students will be welcomed and will be considered on an individual basis.
