About this course

You are likely to have been studying engineering at Level 3 and are looking to progress to a higher level qualification. You will have a keen interest in problem solving, design and how things work. On this course you will focus on analytical techniques, design and practical investigation to help solve actual engineering problems. The qualification provides a solid grounding in the key concepts (mechanical & electrical) and practical skills required in the modern engineering industry. You will have access to our excellent industry-standard softwawre such as CAD (Computer Aided Design).

Entry Requirements

You will need either: 

  • an appropriate Level 3 technical diploma or certificate in engineering (with level 3 maths- grade Merit/Distinction) 
  • AS/A2 Levels which equate to 120 CAT or 160 UCAS points (including Maths) 
  • Access to Higher Education in Engineering 
  • Bridging Certificate in Engineering (with level 3 maths- grade Merit/Distinction)
