Human Resource Managers are essential to the smooth running and success of any organization, no matter what the company’s area of focus. They are also there to play an interesting and challenging role, as facilitators and advocates for both the organization and for employees themselves. Finally, they are there to ensure a productive relationship and mutual understanding between management and employees.
Webster University Thailand’s BA Management with an Emphasis in Human Resource Management is sure to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to becoming an effective Human Resource Manager. In addition to developing a solid understanding of management theory, you’ll also cultivate the interpersonal skills and strategic thinking skills required to be an effective Human Resource Manager.
Offered by the Walker School of Business & Technology and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, BA Management students will take a mixture of both management and human resource specific classes. This division will ensure that students not only have the conceptual underpinnings of management theory, but also the ability to explain, identify and implement solutions to complex management problems upon graduation. Other focus areas include employee recruitment and selection, team building, conflict resolution, employee compensation, and strategic management.
Upon successful completion of the degree program, students may seek employment as Human Resource Managers in a number of sectors including education, government, pharmaceuticals, hospitals and the private sector.
- The minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4 point scale, or its equivalent. Academic achievement in programs that use a different assessment scale is evaluated in the context of the relevant academic system.
- Applicants with grade-point average of less than 2.5 are eligible for conditional admission consideration.
- The English language proficiency minimum requirement is a TOEFL score of 550 points on the Paper-based test (PBT) or 80 points Internet-based test (iBT) or an IELTS score Overall band 6.0.
- Students whose English language proficiency test scores do not meet the minimum requirement will be assigned to an English as a Second Language (ESL) course as per ESL policy.
