About University of Geneva

The University of Geneva also known as Université de Genève in French, is a public research university in Geneva, Switzerland. The university is a member of the League of European Research Universities. This university was ranked 73rd worldwide by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and also ranked 69th in the QS World University Rankings in the year 2011.

Majority of classes are taught in French. The University now follows the requirements of the Bologna process and is now providing bachelor's (three years), master's (1–2 years), Master of Advanced Studies (1–2 years), doctorate (3–5 years).

University of Geneva offers housing options that located in the heart of Geneva's international district, only 50m from the Campus de la Paix, the Edgar de Picciotto Maison des Etudiants offers 135 furnished apartments for a total of 243 IHEID students and a few invited professors. Residents benefit from quality services; apartments and bedding are cleaned every 15 days. Residents also have access to a common room, laundry room, and gym.
