Overview

The M?ori Business programme is specifically designed for both M?ori and non-M?ori students who have little knowledge of how M?ori businesses and M?ori organisations operate, but would like to learn more. We offer courses on the following;

  • Management of M?ori Resources
  • M?ori Authorities
  • M?ori Small Business
  • M?ori Claims
  • Advanced Management of M?ori Resources

As M?ori businesses are now becoming major players in the New Zealand economy, it is important for tomorrow’s leaders to know how and why the philosophies of M?ori businesses differ from that of our mainstream businesses.

Students don’t need to have any knowledge of the M?ori language or culture, as the course examines the business aspects of M?ori in business and is taught in a friendly and relaxed environment where students are encouraged to voice their own points of view.

Studying M?ori Business, a major in the Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA), is a unique way of understanding M?ori issues and getting a one-of-a-kind commerce degree that sets you apart. Graduates in M?ori Business are invaluable in all areas of government, in the private sector, and in the M?ori organisations that are emerging as an important part of New Zealand's commercial and cultural landscape.
