About this course
This program will help students build on their existing practical skills and gain an understanding of New Zealand’s place in the global arena of tourism. Students will learn about tourism from a business perspective through specialties such as adventure tour guiding and sustainable tourism, and experience a taste of the real-life challenges and excitement of working in this industry. In addition, students will also complete a hands-on, research project in a tourism organisation of their choice.
- Certificate in Applied Travel and Tourism (Level 3) OR equivalent qualifications/experience.
- Minimum 4 NCEA credits at Level 2 in reading and writing and 8 credits at Level 1 in mathematics/pangarau OR equivalent.
- International students will be individually assessed to ensure you meet diploma-level entry requirements.
English Language Requirement
- IELTS: overall band score of 6.0 (with no band score less than 5.5).
