Entry Requirements

  • You must be a reasonably confident intermediate skier/boarder on a variety of terrain and snow conditions.
  • You must submit a detailed log book of your riding experience over at least a two-year period.
  • You must submit a health & safety declaration.
  • You must submit a referee's report.
  • International students will be individually assessed to ensure they have an acceptable level of secondary school achievement.

English Requirement

  • IELTS: overall band score of 5.5 (with no band score less than 5.0).

  • Demonstrate communication and customer service skills for Snowsport instruction
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the policy and procedures of a Snowschool
  • Instruct beginner Snowsport
  • Instruct intermediate Snowsport
  • Demonstrate adaptive Snowsport instruction for people with disabilities
  • Give and respond to feedback on performance
  • Listen to gain information in an interactive situation
  • Demonstrate  techniques for instructing a group of children in beginner Snowsport
  • Understanding teaching and learning styles, and develop own  teaching style for Snowsport instruction
  • Instruct within a Snow School environment
  • Integrating learning
  • Demonstrate basic maintenance of Snowsport equipment
  • Manage first aid in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of  safety, accident and emergency procedures for a Snowsport area
  • Gather and apply weather information to an outdoor recreation activity
  • Provide first aid for life threatening conditions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of common first aid conditions and how to respond to them
  • Reflecting on managing risk

Advanced Skiing

  • Alpine ski downhill on intermediate terrain
  • Alpine ski downhill on advanced terrain
  • Alpine ski downhill off-piste
  • Snowboard on beginner terrain

Advanced Snowboarding

  • Snowboard on intermediate terrain
  • Snowboard off-piste at a Snowsport area
  • Alpine ski downhill on beginner terrain
  • Snowboard on advanced terrain at a Snowsport area
