Entry Requirements

Applicants under 20 years

  • At least 36 credits at NCEA Level 2 across three subjects (including 12 credits in each of English, Mathematics and a Science subject), or equivalent

Applicants 20 years and over

  • There are no academic entry requirements for applicants who are over 20 years of age at the start of the programme. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications.

English Language Requirements

  • An international English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic band score of at least 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component) issued within the last two years, or equivalent.

Other Requirements

  • Be at least 17.5 years of age;
  • Hold a current New Zealand driver’s licence (a restricted licence is acceptable);
  • Be cleared by the New Zealand Police Vetting System.
