How is the academic life at this university/college? For my faculty (Food Science and Nutrition), most of the subject are quite hard as they require good memory to pass the exam. Many subjects are also have 1 or 2 group assignment that require us to write around 15-25 pages. Besides that, we also have laboratorium report every 2 weeks to be finished. The marking system is depend on the lecturer, some of them can be really strict. Some of the lecturer know my name. Only few students participate in class and some of them ask questions. The student compete with each other in a healthy competition. I did not spend time with lecturer outside the class. What are the students like? The student population is quite big in UCSI. Since UCSI is international university, they have many international students come from many different countries. They mostly come from indonesian, nigeria, chinese, iran, iraq. The student is usually wear casual outfit to the class but they will wear smart formal t-shirt for presentation. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. UCSI has many clubs for student to develop their social life. It also has many activities such as prom nite, UCSI got talent, cultural days, etc. I, myself, just joined indonesian clubs and some of activity from my faculty such as food fair. Most of the activities or events in UCSI are organized by the student especially student council. Yup, i think UCSI provides a good balance of study and social life for their student. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? They have internship program that allowed us to gain experience from the real working life. Tell us about your overall experience in studying in this country Overall, i like to study in Malaysia because i can meet many people from many countries with different culture. I also learn to be independent in this society. I think i will miss my friends and the hangout places in Malaysia. However, it is not very safe especially in my area since they have many incidences of theft, robbery, mugging.
