How is the academic life at this university/college? Academic life for taking Foundation in Arts is pretty challenging and interesting at the same time, because we have group assignments, individual assignments where we are required to make videos, presentations, having finals, quiz and assessments, participate in field trips that allow us to equip as a life skill rather than just reading books all day long. There are some modules that really require your focus and real understanding skills to know and there are some modules that are straight to the point. The lecturers here are really helpful as they're willing to share their knowledge with you when you meet them personally and question them after class or when finals are just around the corner. What are the students like? Speaking of the students here, the first thing that came to my mind is that most of the students here put in a lot of effort to dress well. More or less it is like a fashion show school. Besides, when it is near to finals, a lot of the students here will study really hard and you can see that all the seats in the library are being occupied. Students here are also talented. But to every pros, there are cons as well, for example some students here that tend to skip their lectures and tutorials where they do not care or are lazy to care about their studies. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. When they are not studying you will most likely see them hanging out with their friends and chill around the school and outside. The well-known places to hang out or gather to chill or do work together are places like Starbucks, school library, Student Life Centre, and Coffee Bean at the Synop Mall. Also, there are some students that are active in sports who play sports (dodgeball, basketball, frisbee) during their past time or after classes. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? To me, it is a place where I can discover new adventures, skills and technologies, meet new friends, and it has that kind of environment that motivates me to study. You get to experience the kind of new life that you never had during high school as you work with different people with different talents and interest. When you first step in the campus, you'll be amazed by every corner of the place somehow cause you know... newbies... The technologies, services and resources they provided are pretty satisfying. It is pretty cool if you start to adapt to the place and the culture. You will also get to find friends who might share the same goal and dreams with you that can motivate you, or even friends who have common interest and values with you where you can click with them easily and enjoy yourself with. Basically, just expose yourself more to the surroundings, events and activities. You can always discover new things and learn something you've never expect once you taken your very first step out of your comfort zone!!
