How is the academic life at this university/college? i am doing Bachelor engineering of electrical and electronics under the hood of university of Sunderland UK in SEGi campus. to study in SEGi is not tough at all in theory part. as SEGi has a lot books in the library along with its e-book from sunderland but for practical SEGi is completely incompetent and inadequate in providing the facility. let alone the complex stuff such as transformers and generators, SEGi's lab can't even provide a basic thing such as an own BEE computer lab. it's very disappointing as in Sunderland, we could've done much more things that we can imagine. SEGi doesn't give a "sunderland experience" in this case. talking about assignment, it is not that much. i can survive from it, no serious complexity nor unclear instructions marking depends on the lecturer, some are very strict, others are lenient to be honest, i am a quite well-known student in lecturers's eyes :D we basically stay silent more than we speak. we do ask some questions though. and by the way, silence doesn't mean we've understood :p competition?well, rarely we do. we mostly help each other to pass the subject. some are even helping each other in the exam :p. lol jk. anyway, the competition is "who can help others the most" Do the lecturers spend time with us outside class? Naa, not at all. even before the class finish, we already want to go out. forget about spending time with lecturers outside. What are the students like? Student population is big and crowded for the size of its building. there are more and more international students. I can't tell for sure where they mostly come from, but I can tell it's Africa. Students are trendy. we follow fashion. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. there are many organizations of students, but they rarely do any events. I am part of the engineering club and International student society club. balance between study and social life outside school is good, but inside school? boooooo What is your overall opinion about this university/college? i can't study engineering properly here :( Tell us about your overall experience in studying in this country i like it despite whatever happened. i have a lot of best friends and great friends here alhamdulilah. they always support me. and most importantly?my parents, they are the biggest support in my life :) fun things i did?wow, i can't mention them all. it's too much. from playing cards in class until traveling to other countries in South East Asia. that's the range of our fun ;) i haven't miss anything until now. and i hope i won't miss anything either even after graduation. It safe here? well moderate. the place where i live in [my hometown] is 3 times safer than malaysia, and the place of my origin is 2 times more dangerous than Malaysia.
