About this course
The Postgraduate Master of Clinical Research is a part-time learning programme delivered by Newcastle University through a Virtual Learning Environment. The training provides professionals within the healthcare sector (medical clinicians, clinical research nurses, ancillary services and industry including clinical research organisations and clinical research management, with a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in planning, conducting, analysing and writing up clinical research.
The aim of the programme is to enable you to understand, develop, deliver, and disseminate clinical research. In your first year you will study the Certificate course, which consists of 60 credits. You can then opt to progress up to Diploma, which consists of a further 60 credits. In your third year, in order to gain the Masters you must also study the 60 credit Clinical Research Dissertation module. Teaching and assessment are based on pragmatic and real world activities and learning.
