With a heritage stretching back to 1821, Heriot-Watt University is a leading British university, and is internationally recognised for its achievements in applied research. Heriot-Watt University Malaysia was established in 2012 and offers the same level of high-quality education provided in the UK and Dubai. Accommodation

Only off-campus student accommodation options are provided in Cyberjaya, which is about 10km or a 15-minute drive from Putrajaya. The campus coordinates and arranges a variety of off-campus accommodation options with approved external service providers, which are all within walking distance to public transportation and the University's own free shuttle bus service. Each accommodation also has 24-hour security and a warden to assist students with any issues that arise.

Shaftsbury 

Shaftsbury Serviced Suites offer rooms furnished with single bed with mattresses, wardrobe, dining table with chairs, study table and chair, air conditioning and ceiling fans, microwave, refrigerator, wifi, induction cooker and electrical kitchen hood, depending on the type of room units. Located in the heart of Cyberjaya, Shaftsbury is in close proximity with a number of shops, restaurants, convenient stores and international business offices. In terms of amenities, it has a café and other communal facilities, including a swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis court and launderette. 

Kanvas SOHO

Kanvas SOHO serviced apartments provide quick access to nearby amenities, such as groceries store, laundrette service and food outlets, all within a 5- to 10-minute walking distance. Rooms are available in three options: single, twin sharing and triple sharing. All apartments feature single bed with mattress, wardrobe, study table and chair, air conditioning and ceiling fans, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, fire safety equipment, induction cooker and electrical kitchen hood, kitchen island, ensuite bathrooms and student-oriented furniture settings. Other general facilities include swimming pool and jacuzzi, gym, BBQ pit, and skydeck / skylounge.

Campus

Heriot-Watt University's campus in Malysia is built on a 4.8 acre site on a lakeside location within close distance to the Putrajaya marina and its modern leisure and sports facilities. As part of Putrajaya Lake’s ‘green continuum,’ the campus features an impressive stretch of living grass roof, lighting ‘powered’ by the maximum use of natural daylight, a rainwater harvesting system as well as optimised air-conditioning and thermal control systems.

To create an optimum learning and living environment for students, the 'green campus' is well-equipped with a range of facilities, including meeting rooms, common rooms, a two-storey library, quiet study zones, group study and discussion areas, eateries and retail outlets. Students can also benefit from various support services, such as Careers Advisory Service, Counselling, IT support, the International Student Support Office (ISSO) and Student Service Centre. 

Located just 40 kilometres from Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, the campus has easy access to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (about 20 minutes away) and the main rail link, which offers a 30-minutes ride to and fro central Kuala Lumpur. Free shuttle bus services is also provided for easy transportation between Putrajaya Sentral, the campus and student accommodation.
