About this course

“History and Heritage” can be defined as an area of interdisciplinary studies. It involves research and teaching in the fields of History, History of Art and Heritage. In this programme, students will learn about the specific historical and cultural contexts, the heritage and the pertaining identity not only of Macao (a declared UNESCo World Heritage in 2005) but also of the Pearl River Delta Region as well as of South and east Asia at large. This historical connection between all the countries involved is the ground of study and investigation of this Programme. The conservation, study and management of the natural heritage of Macao in particular and South and east Asia in general, can then be considered as the features of expertise of this programme.
