About this course
The Doctoral Programme is a research-oriented degree aimed to develop advanced theoretical and practical research skills in a specific area of knowledge. Doctoral candidates complete main modules in research methods and foundation knowledge in their proposed research field, and then work with a supervisor to complete their doctoral thesis.
Doctoral candidates are expected to develop an original scientific work that contributes to a significant theoretical advance in the field. The main objective of the programme is to prepare highly qualified professionals, capable of developing R&D activities in private and public organizations or to develop an academic career.
Note: This programme runs from a minimum duration of 3 years (USD27,500) up to a maximum duration of 5 years (USD45,000).
- Applicants to our Doctoral programmes must possess a Master degree, or its equivalent, and demonstrate adequate English proficiency.
- Admission to a Doctoral programme is decided by the Dean of the respective Faculty, or his/her appointee for that effect.
- A letter addressed to the Dean of the respective faculty, indicating the area of knowledge and specialty of the proposed research project, the intended supervisor and a preliminary plan for their doctoral thesis is required for application. Please include in your letter a justification for the choice of topic, the initial objectives, the methods to be adopted and a general timeline. A Curriculum Vitae is also required.
- Selected applicants are required to attend an admission interview.
