About University of Saint Joseph
Besides the academic facilities, the current facilities allow also for ample working and social space for our students, including a garden, sports facilities (at the Seminary), reading spaces, laboratories for languages and science, IT rooms, two libraries, a speaker’s hall and several other classrooms and support facilities.
The construction of the new campus is close to completion and we expect it to be completed during the 2016/2017 academic year. Built on 1.5 ha of land, the campus will offer 36,000 square meters of constructed area that includes classrooms, labs, theatre, music rooms, auditorium, sports areas and residential and recreational facilities for faculty and students.
The theme of this campus is environmental-protection, and it includes state-of-the-art technology and design to minimise the use of energy, materials and water, which has earned it the nickname “Green Campus”.
The current USJ campus is fully equipped in one of the most prestigious business and commercial centres of Macau, the NAPE. In 2015/2016, the university are operating in two locations in NAPE, and at an important historical building in the centre of town, the Saint Joseph Seminary.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) known for its international pool of students, and it offers a limited number of residences to accommodate students especially those coming from overseas – which are International and/or Exchange students. Students at USJ can apply for accommodation in the USJ Student Residences managed by the Office for Student Affairs. Residences are currently available in 2 different locations; one is at the city center of Macau and another one is in Taipa. Both are easily connected to the University by public transportation. All rooms are fully but simply furnished, and equipped with air conditioner and wireless internet.
Student Residences are offered and given first priority to Year 1 International/Exchange Students. These are also offered to other students depending on their case/justification of request for accommodation. Cleaning service of the common areas is usually provided on a regular basis. Rooms are limited and requests are processed on first-come-first-serve basis.
