About this course

Through UL's internationally accredited Engineering Degree, students will be versed in many varieties of industrial areas like Energy, Chemical Processing, Research, Manufacturing, Design Consultancy, Materials Processing and Aviation. Students have an option to carry on into Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, where specialisations chosen will be delved into further.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) with minimum 6 subjects:

  • Two H5 (Higher Level) grades*; &
  • Four O6 (Ordinary Level) grades*; OR
  • Four H7 (Higher Level) grades*
  • H4 grade in Mathematics
  • O6/H7 in either Physics; OR Chemistry; OR Physics with Chemistry; OR Engineering; OR Construction Studies; OR Design & Communication Graphics/Technical Drawing; OR Technology; OR Biology; OR Agricultural Science; OR Applied Maths.

*Subjects must include Mathematics, Irish or another language, and English.
