Curriculum
Subjects Offered:
- Accounting - The syllabus covers basic ideas of recording financial information, accounting principles, preparation of accounts for different business organisations and accounting analysis, budgeting as well as investment appraisal.
- Biology - The syllabus allows students to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of biological concepts, manage and solve problems on experiments and usage of investigative skills on practical work.
- Business Studies - The syllabus encourages students to develop critical understanding of organisations, markets and internal & external nature of business management, including its role in the society.
- Chemistry - This subject encourages creative thinking and problem solving skills in main theoretical concepts and current applications of chemistry.
- Computer Science - Students develop an understanding of the main principles in computing, organisation of systems for software, data, hardware and communications, as well as developing solutions for problems.
*Only available at Taylor’s College Subang Jaya - Economics - The subject requires students to interpret, explain and analyse economic issues and arguments, evaluate and communicate ideas and judgments clearly for economic growth and development.
- Further Mathematics - This syllabus enables students to extend mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding, covering Pure Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics.
- Global Perspective & Independent Research (GPR) - Students develop research, thinking, reasoning and communication skills following an approach to analyse and evaluate arguments and perspectives on issues of global significance.
*Only available at Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas - Law - The syllabus provides sound knowledge and understanding of the role of law, develop critical awareness of legal concepts and structures in the changing nature of law in society.
- Literature in English - The subject encourages appreciation and response to literature in English through reading and critical analysis of texts on prose, poetry and drama.
- Mathematics - The syllabus allows flexibility and covers areas of Pure Mathematics, Mechanics (for Science students) and probability & Statistics.
- Physics - Students will develop scientific abilities and skills in theoretical and practical studies leading to understanding of more advanced principles of Physics and usage in everyday life.
- Psychology - The syllabus encourages interest and appreciation of psychology through review on research studies and application on five core areas: cognitive, social, psychological, developmental and individual differences.
- Sociology - Students have the opportunity to explore current trends, develop understanding on diversity in human societies and stimulate awareness and focuses on social, cultural legal and political issues.
