Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy each of the 3 following basic entrance requirements:

International Qualifications or National Qualifications
2. English Language
Students for 2012 must achieve at least ONE of the following to be considered for admission to HKU. Other proof of English proficiency will be considered on individual merit basis.

Students require a qualification in a language other than English, which they can satisfy by means of Grade E or better in GCSE / IGCSE / GCEO or a pass in the home language in one of their national examinations.

Curriculum

*a 72-credit Major in Liberal Studies; 
*a 123 credits in Professional core courses ( including a 42-credit Capstone Requirement);
*6 credits in English language enhancement courses;
*3 credits in a Chinese language enhancement course
*two 6-credit Common Core courses from two different Areas of Inquiry (AoI); and
*24 credits in elective courses.
