About this course

The course Arabic conveys scientifically-based knowledge of the language, history and culture of the Arab world of the pre-Islamic period to the present. In the center a thorough training is the modern standard Arabic and in classical Arabic, the language of the Koran. In addition to the active command of the language you are capable of independent reading and interpretation of modern and classical Arabic texts. This includes the acquisition of basic linguistic skills. You also acquire a broad background knowledge on religious and cultural historical, landeskundlichem and historical and contemporary history field.

Entry Requirements

Two foreign languages. Of particular advantage are English and French reading skills. Proof no later than the application of undergraduate work.  Knowledge in Arabic are not required.
