About this course

Biology is the the science of living nature. Students in biology deal with all processes in living systems – from the individual cell to the complex cell system, for example of an animal or plant. Biology devotes itself to cytology, genetics, microbiology, developmental biology, morphology, physiology, and ecology, among others. Aside from the diverse biological disciplines, biology studies also offer a great amount of fundamental natural science subjects. Knowledge of chemistry and physics makes it possible to investigate, understand, and describe complex biological process down to the last detail. Mathematical formulation and statistic processing open up possibilities to process results in experimental investigations in numerical models and described formulas and prognoses.
